IOS 17 expected features
Control Centre revamp: If you’re a fan of the Control Centre that was introduced on iPhones back in 2013, we have news for you. Apple plans to tweak the UI a bit to make it more customisable. This means users might just be able singularly pick out controls they use regularly and leave the ones that they don’t.
More for Dynamic Island: Along with the iPhone 14 in 2022 came Dynamic Island, which quickly became a fan favourite in no time. That said, the tech giant is hinting at the possibility of this feature performing much more than it currently can. While there’s not a lot of clarity on this, users might be able to have notifications flow out of Dynamic Island instead of rolling into the screen.
CarPlay: With iOS 17, you will also have better control over your car’s functions with CarPlay. Upgrades could include seamless integration with your vehicle’s speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer, and several other functions. Apple could additionally put in widgets that display the duration of your journey, weather and fuel information.
Better Search: Reports also suggest Apple could be looking at streamlining its search results with iOS 17. This means you can now search for texts in videos or type in specific keywords to look for subjects within images. So, the next time you want to browse through your 1,200 images, you don’t have to slip into instant dread.
Third-party App Stores: Lastly, Apple is considering including third-party app stores for users with its iOS 17 update. However, chances are it may only be available for people within the European Union for now. Despite that, we can’t wait for this and other exciting changes to come our way with the new iOS 17 update.
